Definition of Coherent Sources

Two sources are said to be coherent if they

Emit same frequency

Vibrate with a constant phase difference

Both (1) and (2)

Vibrate with a changing phase difference

Coherence requires that the source light waves have the same frequency (and wavelength) and maintain a constant phase difference over time.
