For safe turning on a horizontal road.
μ = v²/ rg ⇒ v= (μ rg ) 1/2
v = (0.2 × 50 × 10 ) 1/2 = 10 m/s
A car has to move on a level turn of radius (R = 50m). If the coefficient of static friction between tyre and road is µ = 0.2. Find the maximum speed the car can take without skidding is given by :
